See Frank Miller's Original Storyboards for 'Sin City 2'

Robert Rodriguez certainly didn’t have to look very hard to find a storyboard artist for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, considering his co-director and writer for the hyper-stylized noir action flick is comics great Frank Miller. And as a result, the storyboards for the sequel to 2005’s Sin City look like they could be early sketches of one of Miller’s actual Sin City comics.

Yahoo got these exclusive set of sketches, which were used to help Rodriguez visualize a big set piece featuring returning Sin City citizens Marv (Mickey Rourke) and Nancy (Jessica Alba). Plenty of “goons” feel their rapid-fire wrath, with sword-wielding/arrow-shooting Deadly Little Miho (played by Jamie Chung in the sequel) eventually cutting in for her own piece of the action.

You see? You’ve got to plan a shoot-‘em-up before you actually send in the guns. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens in theaters Aug. 22.
