Country singer Randy Travis is in critical condition after being hospitalized, a spokesman for the singer said Monday.
Travis is suffering from complications from complications of recently acquired viral cardiomyopathy, the spokesman said. The ailment is caused by a viral infection of the heart.
The 54-year-old "Three Wooden Crosses" singer was admitted to a Texas medical facility on Sunday.
Travis has a number of tour dates scheduled for the coming weeks, including a Wednesday show at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Casino in Deadwood, S.C.
