Puppies Predict Super Bowl Winner on ‘The Tonight Show’

With the No. 1 offense (Atlanta Falcons) taking on the No. 1 defense (New England Patriots) and two incredible quarterbacks (Matt Ryan and Tom Brady), it’s nearly impossible to make a safe Super Bowl LI prediction. Thank goodness for puppies!

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy brought out two bowls of kibble, one representing the New England Patriots and the other representing the Atlanta Falcons. Then he brought out nine puppies, much to the delight of the studio audience. Whichever team’s bowl got the most puppies would be the Super Bowl winners.

The puppies seemed more than ready to dive right into this foolproof prediction methodology.

Jimmy went on to lay down the super-no-fun-at-all rules, which included no butt sniffing, no peeing, and no wandering. And with the rules established, the puppies were released to choose the Super Bowl winner, and the clear winner was … the Atlanta Falcons.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
