The awards race shifts into high gear Thursday morning when the nominations are announced for the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. You can watch it all unfold on Yahoo’s live Golden Globe nominations show, beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT and hosted by Ben Lyons, Yahoo TV editor-in-chief Kristen Baldwin, and Yahoo Movies senior editor Kevin Polowy.
Yesterday we asked you to weigh in on which movie was the frontrunner in the Best Picture, Drama category (the poll is still open, so go vote!). Today, we turn our attention toward the lighter side with the Best Picture, Musical or Comedy race.
Will it be Rob Marshall’s star-studded fractured fairy tale musical Into the Woods? What about the critically acclaimed Birdman (very loosely defined as a “comedy” here)? Then there’s the work of the Anderson auteurs Wes (The Grand Budapest Hotel) and Paul Thomas (Inherent Vice). And don’t count out the sleeper Bill Murray comedy, St. Vincent. What’s your pick?
