Watch the Best College A Cappella Team Sing 'Flashlight' From 'Pitch Perfect 2'

They’ve won national a cappella championships, performed for President Barack Obama, and operate more like a family than a college music group.

This isn’t the Barden Bellas we’re talking about. It’s the Northeastern University Nor’Easters, a 17-year-old a cappella institution. And as you can see above in the exclusive cover of “Flashlight” the group recorded for Yahoo Movies, the Nor’Easters do a pretty great impression of the beloved (albeit fictional) team at the center of Pitch Perfect and its mega-hit sequel.

The group — which performed for Obama in 2013 (and, luckily, avoided a Fat Amy-style wardrobe malfunction) — is legendary in a capella circles, and are now starring in the new John Legend-produced show Sing It On, which premiered last week on the Pop Network.
