At long last the two reunite in Stonehearst Asylum, an upcoming dramatic thriller based on Edgar Allan Poe’s short story The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether (the film was originally titled Eliza Graves). Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe) takes the lead as Edward Newgate, a med school grad who accepts an unenviable new position at the titular mental institution in mid-19th century France (you know, when treatment of the mentally ill wasn’t exactly an evolved practice).
