Younger men have a thing for Jennifer Lopez — both on screen and off. In the upcoming thriller 'The Boy Next Door,' Lopez stars as Claire, a recently divorced teacher who falls for her much younger neighbor.
Watch Jennifer Lopez Make Some Bad Choices in Trailer for ‘The Boy Next Door’ You’d think, that after enduring unhealthy (even life-threatening) relationships in such romances as Enough, Monster-in-Law and Gigli, Jennifer Lopez would be a bit more careful about who she falls in love with onscreen. In the Rob Cohen-directed thriller, the actress/singer/reality-TV judge plays a single mom who allows herself to be seduced by a strapping, swaggering teenage kid (Ryan Guzman, from the Step Up franchise) who’s just moved in one house over. Needless to say, this turns out to be a mistake on the level of “Jenny From the Block,” as Guzman soon reveals himself to be a Norman Bates-type psycho who wants more than a one-night stand. The seriously disturbed youth is going to let no one interfere with his imagined romance, not Lopez’ soon-to-be ex-husband (John Corbett), or her impressionable son (Ian Nelson).
