The new issue of Entertainment Weekly reveals that Terminator: Genisys, the new reboot/sequel directed by Thor helmer Alan Taylor, begins in 2029, but will at some points revisit the first movie’s storyline. James Cameron’s original, of course, involved a young Sarah Connor being hunted down by the T-800 killing machine back in 1984. This time around, though, the ‘bot will actually be a father figure to Sarah (played here by Emilia Clarke), one of several significant tweaks in this “alternate timeline” continuation meant to satisfy old fans and give the story room to expand on its own.
Fans made due with a crisp, digitally remastered version of the classic sci-fi action movie, followed up with a chat from director-writer James Cameron and writer-producer Gale Anne Hurd. Cameron later jokingly accused the 67-year-old actor, former bodybuilder, and Governator of faking, calling him a “little bitch,” adding, “Terminators don’t get sick.
Joel Schumacher has had a long, storied Hollywood career, but he is well aware that prominent among his legacies will be the nipples he put on George Clooney’s Caped Crusader costume in 1997’s Batman & Robin. Batman & Robin was the fourth film in the original saga, which was launched by Tim Burton in 1989. Burton and star Michael Keaton left the franchise after 1992’s Batman Returns, at which point Warner Bros. wanted to lighten the tone and make the series more family-friendly.
Methodology: During a scuffle in which both fighters are pulled underwater — with a huge shark swimming nearby, mind you! — Bond forces Kananga to ingest an inflation pellet. Kananga becomes buoyant and begins expanding, eventually rising out of the water like a balloon before finally exploding. Bond’s waterlogged send-off — “He always did have an inflated opinion of himself” — is perfectly dry.
There was a lot to love about Total Recall – the 1990 original starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, not that cheap 2012 rip-off with Colin Farrell – yet for most who saw it, there’s one image that comes to mind that will forever remain Recall’s can’t-unsee moment: the three-breasted hooker on Mars. Naff appeared in only five roles post-Recall, all of them one-episode appearances on TV shows (The Flash, the old, that is, Father Dowling Mysteries, Law & Order, Without a Trace and Ghost Whisperer).
The filmmaker, who went to jail for his role in the Anthony Pellicano case, tells a judge that his new movie (‘Warbirds’) will star John Travolta and that he will be paid more than $1 million By Eriq Gardner Stick around a Wyoming bankruptcy court long enough and you’ll never know what you’ll hear — John Travolta signing up for a forthcoming Top Gun-type film, a lack of universal love for the acting chops of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and most especially, what in the world Die Hard director John McTiernan has been up to lately. Once the film world’s top gun himself for such blockbusters as The Hunt for Red October and Predator, McTiernan spent 10 months in a South Dakota prison cell after pleading guilty to lying to law enforcement officers investigating him for hiring private eye Anthony Pellicano to wiretap The Dark Knight producer Charles Roven, with whom McTiernan worked on the 2002 film Rollerball. First Interstate Bank wanted to foreclose on the ranch, but McTiernan and his wife then filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Two weeks ago, a 27-year-old Lusby, Maryland, creative writing student named John Chapman came up with an inspired idea: What if he did a scene-for-scene reenactment of the iconic shoot-‘em-up chase scene from Terminator 2: Judgment Day — but using only graphics and sound effects from the video game Grand Theft Auto 5?It seemed like an easy enough task; Over the course of a week, Chapman and a few pals used whatever free time they could find to study the sequence — in which Edward Furlong zips off on a motorbike, with Robert Patrick in hot pursuit behind the wheels of a tow-truck — before recreating it (and recording the results) via coordinated GTA gameplay.
What happened to Arnold Schwarzenegger? Sure, his new flick was so dwarfed by the “Noah” marketing blitz that you can be forgiven if you didn’t know there was a new Arnold Schwarzenegger movie this weekend. "Arnold has been a box-office bust in the U.S. ever since he came back from his political tour of duty, and even before that his star was steadily falling," says Exhibitor Relations senior box-office analyst Jeff Bock. “‘Sabotage’ is Arnie’s worst debut of his career, when adjusted for inflation.
