The Charlie Brown gang is coming back to U.S. TV. Boomerang is set to premiere Peanuts, a new series consisting of animated vignettes beginning May 9. New episodes will air daily at 11:30 AM/ET/8:30 AM PT on the Time Warner-owned network.

The animated shorts are produced by Normaal Animation in France, which is operating under license from Peanuts Worldwide LLC. The shorts first aired overseas in 2014.

Peanuts will get a sneak preview on Cartoon Network the week of May at 10:30 AM, along with select individual shorts that will roll out on the Cartoon Network video app.

The Peanuts series furthers Boomerang’s aim to establish itself as a network for family-friendly animated programming. It joins a slate that includes Bunnicula, Wabbit, Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, The Tom and Jerry Show, and the hour-long special Super Hero High.
