the book tells a story of race and redemption in which a racially fueled incident exposes the fissures that sit beneath the surface of friendships and families, causing even more damage than the massive earthquake that separates them. Primary Wave’s Ben Press and Brad Kaplan are producing.

McMartin penned the screenplay for Eddie Murphy starrer Mr. Church, which recently bowed at the Tribeca Film Festival. She also previously served as a writer/co-producer on Two And A Half Men.

Davis, the daughter of Ronald and Nancy Reagan, has written eleven books in all, including The Long Goodbye (about losing her father, President Ronald Reagan, to Alzheimer’s), The Wit and Wisdom of Gracie: An Opinionated Pug’s Guide to Life and Till Human Voices Wake Us.

McMartin is repped by Primary Wave Entertainment, UTA and Morris, Yorn, Barnes’ Gregg Gellman.
