Oliver Stone Says Cell Phones Will 'Burn Your Life to the Ground' in Comedic 'Snowden' PSA

Oliver Stone wants you to shut off your cellphones during a movie — and possibly forever.
In a comedic movie theater-style public service announcement screened at Comic-Con and officially released Wednesday, the Snowden director warns audiences of the dangers that phones pose to personal privacy and security.
Stone begins by highlighting the best parts of using the handheld devices we have all become attached to, complete with a gratuitous video clip of a bunch of cute cats playing with a toy.

But as fitting for the director of a movie delving into the life of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, things take a turn for the dramatic as Stone shares what else those electronic devices can do to our lives.
“It allows certain parties to track your every move,” Stone said. “Every time you make a call, send a text, we are giving them access.”
“The information you put out into the world voluntarily is enough to burn your life to the ground,” he added. “This will be our undoing.”
