OK Go is well-known for their innovative, instantly viral music videos, and their latest offering definitely doesn't disappoint.
The band premiered their "The One Moment" music video exclusively on Facebook on Wednesday, which was literally shot in one moment -- lasting 4.2 seconds to be exact. During the video, band members create and interact with hundreds of synchronized, high-speed events, which is then showed in slow motion. The video is directed by OK Go's frontman, Damian Kulash, Jr.
"We triggered 325 events with extremely precise digital triggers to create the choreography, which unfolds over a little more than four seconds," Kulash explains in a press release. "We shot with extremely high-speed cameras, which allows us to stretch those few seconds over the full length of the song. At those moments, we're seeing things move through the air that, in real life, are moving faster than the speed of sound."
"The song 'The One Moment' is about those moments in life when you are most alive, the moments that truly matter, the moments when everything changes," he adds. "We shot the video in a single moment to bring this feeling to life. We want to show that a single moment can contain so much wonder, so much beauty, and so much change. We hope it helps inspire people to use their moments wisely."
