Rosamund Pike, Shiloh Fernandez and Nick Nolte are starring in Return to Sender, a psychological thriller being directed by Fouad Mikati.
Holly Wiersma and Candice Abela are producing the feature, which is currently shooting in New Orleans.
Written by Patricia Beauchamp and Joe Gossett, the script centers on a meticulous small-town nurse (Pike) who falls victim to a life-altering event after she goes on a blind date with a man (Fernandez) who turns out not to be who he says he is. She must find the strength and courage to rebuild her life and return to her former self. (Nolte plays Pike’s father.)
Lagniappe Films is financing, with Boo Pictures also involved. Logan Levy and Gossett are executive producing.
Pike, last seen opposite Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher, will follow up Sender with French Window, a thriller with Josh Duhamel that shoots this fall. She is repped by UTA and Magnolia Entertainment.
Fernandez, repped by WME, Untitled and Jackoway Tyerman, was last seen in April’s Evil Dead remake and is part of the cast of The East, the mystery thriller that Fox Searchlight opens May 31.
Nolte, who appeared this year in Gangster Squad and Parker, is repped by CAA.
