Newly Formed Revolver Picture Company Announces Genre Film Slate

Former Dimension Films and Screen Gems executive Nick Phillips and veteran casting director Kelly Wagner have formed Revolver Picture Company. The new enterprise will produce a slate of elevated low budget genre films. Financing for the slate was arranged by the Paradigm Motion Picture Finance Group. Revolver just wrapped production in Utah on the supernatural thriller Haunt, which they co-financed and co-produced with QED International. They are currently prepping the found footage film Beneath.

Phillips most recently served as SVP of production at Sony’s genre division, overseeing such films as Straw Dogs and Country Strong, as well as working on the Halloween and Hellraiser franchises at Dimension. Wagner has been a casting director on The Grudge and Hostel franchises, as well as last year’s The Devil Inside. The duo previously worked together on the sequels to Vacancy and 30 Days Of Night for Sony’s Stage 6 division, among others. Wagner’s casting company will now be known as Wagner-Posseren Casting and will be overseen by her partner Dominika Posseren. The casting company will not be exclusive to Revolver Picture Company. Revolver Picture Company will be repped by Paradigm.
