TORONTO – Canada’s sci-fi Space Channel has acquired CSI creator Anthony Zuiker’s Yahoo web drama Cybergeddon for TV broadcast.
The Olivier Martinez and Missy Peregrym-starring digital drama, which was shot in and around Toronto, has also been acquired by Astral Media’s French language specialty channel Ztélé.
Other MIPTV action around Cybergeddon includes Dolphin Digital Media securing the international TV distribution rights to the co-production between Zuiker and his production company Dare to Pass.
Diego Velasco, director of the Venezuelan box office hit The Zero Hour, helmed the scripted drama about the growing threat of cyber crime that launched as a series of installments on the Internet portal, before reaching other digital platforms.
Dolphin also unveiled Wednesday an agreement with ZDF Enterprises to make Cybergeddon available in Europe and many parts of Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Cybergeddon is distributed by Dolphin as part of a deal brokered by CAA.
