Apparently, only one actor can properly embody a certain archeologist and his fear of snakes.

Frank Marshall — who produced all four Indiana Jones movies, beginning with 1981’s beloved Raiders of the Lost Ark — told Total Film that there are no plans to have the character played by anyone other than Harrison Ford.

“There are a lot of rumors,” said Marshall, who has experience with reboots, having produced this summer’s Jurassic World. “We haven’t even sat down to talk about Indy yet. … At some point, we’ll sit down. But there’s a bunch of people who could probably take the baton.”

Marshall added that the filmmakers are “not doing the Bond thing where we’re going to call somebody else Indiana Jones. … We have to figure this out.”

Rumors have circulated of late about a younger actor potentially getting cast as the iconic character known for donning a fedora and cracking a whip. In 2013, Disney struck a deal with Paramount, landing distribution rights to any future films in the franchise.

Chris Pratt told Entertainment Weekly in a cover story earlier this year that he was flattered to hear his name mentioned in connection with a possible Indiana Jones reboot.
