Idris Elba Says He and Tom Hiddleston Are in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’

The Marvel surprises just keep coming, as Idris Elba recently revealed that he and his “Thor” co-star Tom Hiddleston will be back for the upcoming “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Elba, who played Heimdall in 2013’s “Thor,” dropped the news in an interview with the Telegraph.

“I’m in ‘Avengers,’” he said. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’ ”

Elba is referring to the DJ residency he took up in Ibiza for the summer, but it looks like he was able to squeeze in enough time for the sequel in Marvel’s powerhouse franchise.

Neither Elba nor Hiddleston appeared in the first trailer for the movie, which leaked last week, and it was not mentioned during the massive fan event on Tuesday in which Marvel chief Kevin Feige revealed the studio’s nine-movie Phase 3.

The film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” hits theaters May 1, 2015.
