Fox's Boomerang has cast Felicity Huffman's sons.
Cloverfield's Michael Stahl-David and Royal Pains' Patrick Heusinger have joined the drama pilot from executive producer John Wells, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Boomerang focuses on the usual, everyday drama surrounding a family business -- except this family, the Hamiltons, is in the business of executing hits as assassins for the U.S. government.
Stahl-David will play Sam Hamilton, an assassin who left Guatemala one step ahead of disgruntled government agents. He is broke, out of options and forced to return to his family -- also paid assassins for the CIA. Sam's father and brother consider him a loose cannon.
Heusinger will play Carl Hamilton, the elder son of the clan. An overly sensitive ex-jock, Carl has followed his parents into the "family business" and he is resentful of -- but genuinely fond of -- his flashier, brainier sibling, Sam. His wife Angela, however, isn't aware of what he truly does for a living.
Stahl-David and Heusinger join Desperate Housewives alum Huffman in the project, from Warner Bros. TV and John Wells Productions. Shameless and Awake's Davey Holmes will write and executive produce, along with Wells and Andrew Stearn.
Repped by ICM Partners and Management 360, Stahl-David last was a series regular on ABC's short-lived My Generation and NBC's The Black Donnellys. He has a few films in the pipeline, including The Congress and In Your Eyes.
Heusinger, who recurred on USA's Royal Pains, is repped by Gersh Agency and Group Entertainment. He was cast in NBC's Beautiful People pilot last year and appears in Lifetime's upcoming Witches of East End; other TV credits include Friends With Benefits, Necessary Roughness and Unforgettable.
