Eight-time Grammy winner Fergie is getting another award.
Logo, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender-themed network, has tapped the singer to receive its Always Next, Forever Now Award, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
The annual award pays homage to a pop icon and celebrates their unique and global impact. Fergie, for her part, has raised money to help fight HIV/AIDS and has worked with organizations including amFAR and the MAC AIDS Fund.
"Fergie embodies what the Always Next, Forever Now Award is all about in everything that she does," Logo exec vp and GM Lisa Sherman said. "She continuously pushes boundaries, stunning us with her creative vision and ability to make a tremendous impact on pop culture."
Fergie will receive the award April 13 during Logo's NewNowNext Awards 2013, which will be broadcast April 15 at 10 p.m. Friend and mentor Chelsea Handler will present her with the award.
"I could not be more proud to be honored by Logo," Fergie said. "This award is so incredibly special to me because of the tremendous love and support I have always experienced from the LGBT community. Logo's philosophy of acceptance with no barriers and no judgment is a message that we should all live by."
Previous recipients of the ward include Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga.
