New 'Insurgent' Trailer: Shailene Woodley Goes Out With Guns A-Blazin'

The final trailer for Insurgent — due out March 20 —finds Tris (Shailene Woodley) getting ready to rumble, as she prepares to defend herself against the malicious forces of bloodthirsty Erudite leader Jeanine (Kate Winslet). Luckily, this “divergent” is not alone in her fight, joined not only by her gun-wielding rebel friends, but also her boyfriend-in-battle Four (Theo James) and her brother Caleb (Ansel Elgort).

In this latest look, we also get a longer glimpse at the peaceful Amity faction, who provide support for the rebels, and whose leader — played by Octavia Spencer — warns Tris not to turn too much to the dark side (“I know you’re angry, Tris,” she says. “But you’re letting it consume you.”)

Also at Amity: Peter (Miles Teller), who shows up at the Amity outpost, identifying himself as a fugitive among fugitives. If that’s the case, though, why do we later see him pointing a gun at Tris?

But the most exciting action in this new trailer might be the lovey-dovey heat generated by Four and Tris, who tells her wartime BF the reason behind her short-cropped hair: “I wanted something new.” War doesn’t make room for long locks, that’s for sure.
