New 'Good Dinosaur' Trailer Gives Us the Heartwarming Tale of a Dino and His Human

Pixar’s upcoming animated feature The Good Dinosaur flips evolution upside down with its tale of an alternate world where a giant asteroid never killed off the dinosaurs, who instead inherited the Earth. In the new trailer for the movie above, we get much more of the movie’s plot which has a cute green Apatosaurus named Arlo getting separated from his dino-dad and meeting a curious human boy named Spot.

As it turns out, Spot is a fitting name in this world where the human is treated like a family pet, one who howls at the moon, protects Arlo from a giant snake attack, and snuggles with him when the dinosaur gets homesick.

The new footage also shows off some of Arlo and Spot’s adventures as they try to find Arlo’s family, including a run-in with what looks like a hoarder Triceratops and an interlude with a not-so-vicious pack of T. Rex cowboys.

We’ll see if the prehistoric bosom buddies make it to the end of their quest when The Good Dinosaur hits theaters on Nov. 25.
