New ‘Monster Trucks’ Trailer: Lucas Till & Creech Show Off Their Selfie Skills

Paramount has released a new trailer for the long-delayed live-action/CGI hybrid film Monster Truckshelmed by Ice Age director Chris Wedge.

The pic stars Lucas Till as Tripp, an average high school senior looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, and who puts together a truck from scraps. After a weird accident at a nearby oil-drilling site, It is unleashed and Tripp may have found the key to getting out of town and a most unlikely friend.

From Nickelodeon Movies production, Monster Trucks, which began production in 2014, has had its share of challenges. Paramount parent Viacom already has taken a $115 million write-down for the film, which has seen its release date pushed back three times before landing on its January 13 theatrical bow.

Jane Levy also co-stars along with Holt McCallany, Barry Pepper, Tucker Albrizzi, Danny Glover, Amy Ryan, Rob Lowe, Frank Whaley, and Thomas Lennon.
