After releasing an emotional video accepting Donald Trump as president, Miley Cyrus has turned her sorrows into joy. The singer took to Instagram on Thursday to announce that she's done with crying. Instead, she's "accepting, hopeful, inspired and smiling" and will launch a new campaign called #HopefulHippies that encourages people to take action in their communities.
"I'm asking you to get involved in your own community and make a commitment to the issues you care about, whether it's donating, volunteering or showing your support!" Cyrus wrote in the caption. "I'm starting off by pledging to education, and I'm excited Happy Hippie will now be supporting classroom projects and schools with DonorsChoose!!"
The "Adore You" singer launched an official website for the campaign that uses Hillary Clinton's slogan "Stronger Together" and provides information on an array of topics, including LGBTQ rights, women's rights, education and more. "People who say WE can't change the world ARE wrong," reads the website's manifesto. "We will make some noise and cause a scene! We will challenge each other and the world & will stop pointless judgment."
Prior to her campaign announcement, the Voice judge also encouraged fans to "be accepting towards [Trump's] presidency. WE must take a hammer to the bricks WE built up and be more LOVING and compassionate towards all living things!"
Many of us aren't sure what to do after the election, but now more than ever it's important for us to come together and take action to work for the America we want. That's why we're launching #HopefulHippies, and I'm asking you to get involved in your own community and make a commitment to the issues you care about, whether it's donating, volunteering or showing your support! I'm starting off by pledging to education, and I'm excited Happy Hippie will now be supporting classroom projects and schools with DonorsChoose!! If you need ideas to get you started, check out HappyHippies.org to find local opportunities near you supporting the issues we care about. Share your pledge to take action in your community using #HopefulHippies. Can't wait to see yours, I'll be reposting some of my favorite ones! #strongertogether

On Wednesday, Cyrus posted an emotional video clip online, praising Clinton and yielding to "accept" Trump as America's new president-elect.
"I still think that in her lifetime she deserves to be the first female president, and that's what makes me so sad," Cyrus said through tears in the clip. "I just wish that she had that opportunity because she's fought for so long and because I believe her when she says that she loves this country; this is all she's ever done. She's given her life to make it better."
Cyrus publicly supported Clinton's efforts by rallying young voters at George Mason University. She even posted a photo of the Democratic presidential nominee on her Instagram account on the eve of the 2016 presidential election as a final attempt to encourage voters.
Go to my Facebook to see a video of my reaction & reflection on last nights election .... If we want Donald Trump to accept us .... We must be accepting towards his presidency & his promise to "unify" our country and "make America great" .... I leave out the "again" because this country has never been able to live up to its full potential because we've been putting up our own divided walls between each other. We don't need Trump to do that for us.... So WE must take a hammer to the bricks WE built up and be more LOVING and compassionate towards all living things! (including the planet) (p.s. Mr. Elected president..... Global warming IS real. ACCEPT THAT)
