Melissa McCarthy Proves Her 'Ghostbusters' Got Girl Power
Behold, the latest image to emerge from the set of the tweet-happy Ghostbusters reboot. Courtesy of star Melissa McCarthy, the photo features of all the female cast and crew. The pictures includes McCarthy and her fellow stars — Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Kristen Wiig — holding up a “Girl Power” banner, while the rest of the team holds up signs describing their various duties on the Paul Feig-helmed film.
McCarthy directed her positive message to Ellen DeGeneres, supporting the talk-show host’s launch of a new Gap line called Gap Kids x ED, described as clothing “dedicated to supporting girls just as they are.”

The children’s apparel is part of DeGeneres’s overall ED brand for the retailer that embraces tolerance and individuality; per Ellen, “It’s about knowing and accepting who you are.”
Ghostbusters , which also stars a bespectacled Chris Hemsworth, has been shooting in Boston since June. The film is slated for release July 15, 2016.
