Melania Trump rang in her 47th birthday Wednesday with her go-to look: a coat dress.
The first lady wore the classic style in navy blue, designed by Michael Kors, with a wide brown belt (in what appears to be made out of crocodile or alligator skin) while attending the Senate spouses luncheon in Washington, D.C. Melania was joined by second lady Karen Pence and the spouses of President Donald Trump's Cabinet members.

Though it was her birthday, Melania didn't want any special treats at the event, according to CNN. Instead the couple was planning to have a private celebration Wednesday evening.

Melania is no doubt a fan of coat dresses. She's stepped out in the silhouette in various shades, from the Alice Roi-designed navy coat she wore to the National Prayer Services at the National Cathedral to a black military-inspired coat by Norisol Ferrari at the wreath-laying ceremony in Arlington National Cemetery. She also recently wore a striking red coat dress, designed by Roi, that seemed to pay tribute to Nancy Reagan's Adolfo outfit for husband Ronald Reagan's swearing-in ceremony in 1981.
"The coatdress is a favorite of Melania's," Roi told The Hollywood Reporter, adding that the FLOTUS "is definitively responsible for its revival. It is the ultimate chic statement: The combination of strong tailoring and a delicate silhouette delivers the right message."
