Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's The Nest is shaping up to be even more of a Saturday Night Live reunion.

Maya Rudolph is joining Fey and Poehler in the Universal comedy.

The Bridesmaids actress will play a childhood friend of the duo, who portray sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. They decide to throw one final rager in the house, which turns into a cathartic experience for a bunch of ground-down adults.

Rudolph was an SNL cast member from 2000-07, working for most of that period alongside Poehler and Fey. Paula Pell, also an SNL alum, wrote the screenplay for The Nest.

In addition, Rudolph has landed a starring role opposite Catherine Keener in the indiedrama The Greens Are Gone. Peer Pedersen wrote the screenplay for that and is directing.

Rudolph will first shoot The Nest before moving to the Boston set of Greens Are Gone. Production on The Nest begins this month in New York. Ike Barinholtz recently joined that film as the male lead. Universal is now filling out the supporting roles, which will include several cameos. Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) is directing the film, which will be released Dec. 18, 2015.
