Mark Wahlberg's Crazy Diet for Filming 'Transformers: The Last Knight'

Mark Wahlberg joined Live With Kelly and her guest co-host, Jerry O’Connell, where he talked about his current diet (if that’s what you want to call it). Wahlberg, who is shooting Transformers: The Last Knight, ran into the film’s director, Michael Bay, prior to filming, and Bay told him he couldn’t do the film looking the way he did. At the time, Wahlberg was admittedly not eating the healthiest of food, and was drinking a lot of wine. So he went on what he called a crash diet, and started working out again. The diet sounds like quite a workout.

“I start at, like, 2 a.m. Egg whites and Ezekiel bread with some almond butter. Then I have some Greek yogurt and a shake. And turkey burgers with sweet potato. Then I have a chicken,” is the way Wahlberg described his diet.

Wahlberg roasts the chicken himself, rather than buying it from the store, but not everyone in his family appreciates it.

Wahlberg said, “The kids are eating pancakes and I’m just roasting a chicken, and the whole house smells like chicken, and they are like, ‘Dad, you are disgusting.’”

And Wahlberg already has his next meal in sight.

“I’ve had all those meals already today, and I just had a tuna salad. And I’m looking forward to some whitefish in about an hour,” Wahlberg said.
