Lionsgate, Summit Offer Condolences to Dead 'Twilight' Fan

Lionsgate and Summit issued a joint statement on Tuesday offering their condolences to the family and friends of a 53-year old "Twilight" fan killed outside the San Diego Convention Center on the eve of Comic Con.

The woman was hit by a car Tuesday morning outside the Convention Center's Hall H while lining up for Thursday's "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" panel.

"Lionsgate, Summit and the entire Twilight community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Con fan today due to a traffic accident during the hours leading up to this year's convention in San Diego," the statement read. "Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim's family and friends. She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H."

It remains unclear whether the death will impact the presentation.
