'Let's Be Cops' Works Blue in New Red and Green Band Trailers

It’s been a good year for bad words, with R-rated comedies doing exceptionally well at the box office: 22 Jump Street opened this past weekend to an estimated $60 million, and even the month-old Neighbors is still drawing a crowd. Next up is the pretend-police comedy Let’s Be Cops, which, judging by its new red-band trailer, is just as naughty as its predecessors. The latest Cops trailer is definitely NSFW, so if you work at the kind of place adult language, adult situations, and depictions of drug use might get you thrown in the clink, there’s also a new green-band trailer, sanitized for your protection.

Let’s Be Cops stars Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. (both from TV’s New Girl) as two aimless pals who dress up as uniformed officers for a costume party — only to go on a power-trip after being mistaken for boys in blue. Soon, they find themselves duping not only impressionable young ladies (including The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev) but also a dangerous crime boss, played by goateed Ocean’s 11 alum Andy Garcia.
