Lester Holt Anchors ‘NBC Nightly News’ From Trump Tower; Twitter Disapproves

NBC News’s Lester Holt is conducting an “exclusive network TV interview” with Donald Trump today, among the pantheon of news outlets that have spoken today to Trump since the former NBC reality-TV star became the GOP presidential candidate ater Ted Cruz dropped out yesterday and John Kasich dropped out of today.

And while many news orgs since Trump announced his candidacy, have gone to Trump’s HQ to conduct interviews, NBC Nightly News today went one step further than its competitors. Holt anchored the entirety of NBC Nightly News from Trump Tower.

NBC Nightly News says it will make the same offer to the Democratic presumptive nominee. Looking forward to NBC Nightly News broadcast from Hillary Clinton’s place in Chappaqua, where CNN’s Anderson Cooper traveled today to interview the Democratic frontrunner:

Holt ended tonight’s newscast in the TT lobby, saying, “if you think this 2016 campaign is been wild so far, buckle up. The Trump vs Clinton showdown is shaping up to be a roller coaster ride, a general election maybe like we haven’t seen in our lifetimes. And there are still six more months until election day. Let that sink in for a moment,” Holt said, as the sight of NBC’s newscast anchoring from Trump’s temple sank in.

Several Reporters Who Cover Television And/Or Presidential Elections did not approve:
