After an evening filled with fashion and fantastic photobombs at Monday evening's Met Gala, Lena Dunham was reportedly rushed to the emergency room.
Page Six reports that the Girls creator/star was taken to the emergency room following a medical issue, however, after a series of tests, she was released. A representative for Dunham had no comment.
In the hours that followed, Dunham was active on social media, posting photos of her red Elizabeth Kennedy frock that she accessorized with a Planned Parenthood pin.
"Commes des Garçons has always been for the creature who dares to be different, who needs clothing to be more than a way to telegraph wealth or culturally imposed super-sexuality," wrote the star on Instagram of her experience at the event. "Now THAT is a theme I can get behind."
Dunham, continued, "Much love to @voguemagazine for bringing so much power and passion to the Met, which has always been church to me. It's easy to forget amidst the glitz just how much good this night does, raising millions to preserve essential artifacts and making sure style really is for everyone. Can I get an amen?"
The actress has been open about her battle with endometriosis, a disease which has landed her in the hospital on more than one occasion. In April, she penned a letter for her Lenny Letter newsletter in which she detailed her relationship with the chronic pain associated with endometriosis, adding that after years she was labeled "disease-free" following her most recent surgery.
