Kristen Wiig Dishes More Alexanya Hilarity in 'Zoolander 2' Spoof Ad
As if it were possible, Kristen Wiig is clearly reaching new comedic heights in the forthcoming Zoolander sequel.
The SNL alum and Bridesmaids star appears in a spoof ad (above), our longest look yet at her lip-plumped and well-tucked character, Alexanya Atoz. She’s a new adversary for Derek (Ben Stiller) and the good, albeit airheaded high-fashion gang in Zoolander 2, allying herself with the nefarious Mugatu. Here, we see Alexanya hawking a cream for her House of Atoz beauty brand.
Hilariously mispronouncing “laboratory,” the fashionista makes wild claims about her product — that is, when you can understand what she’s saying through her extra thick European accent. “I have no fillers, Botox, or surgeries,” she says in an obvious lie.
Hey, if the moisturizer can cause “relischisvaicedsh” in your skin, it’s got to be worth slathering on, right?
Alexanya’s faux ad follows one for the perfume Zoolander No. 2 that dropped last week. In it Derek appears as a half-man, half-cow, a hilarious reference to his ad in the 2001 original in which appeared as a “merman.”
Zoolander 2, starring Wiig, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, Will Ferrell, Benedict Cumberbatch, starts striking its silly poses in theaters Feb. 12.
