First 'Jurassic World' Teaser Reveals Dinosaurs and a Serious Chris Pratt

This year’s Thanksgiving dessert? The first full trailer for Jurassic World.

After launching a cryptic website last week, Universal released a 20-second teaser on Sunday for the fourth film in the blockbuster series about the forever ill-fated dinosaur theme park. And though it is brief, it gives us quite a bit to chew on.

The short video reveals a first look at the new, flourishing resort at the center of the Colin Trevorrow-directed film. Jurassic World, as we learned last week from the new website, has become a massive theme park and vacation destination, a sort of science-infused Disney World on an isolated island. This includes sweet rides.

And, of course, dinosaurs.

The teaser also unveils the first footage of stars Bryce Dallas Howard, who’s standing in some sort of high-tech control center, and a serious Chris Pratt, who is looking like the next Indiana Jones (also a series directed by Jurassic World producer Steven Spielberg).

Let’s hope we get a look soon at that new dinosaur they’re designing for the park, which includes DNA from other species to fill in the missing sequences. The combination, as mandated by InGen, the park’s corporate daddy, will create a Frankenstein's monster-like dino with more teeth and a louder roar. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Jurassic World hits theaters on June 12, 2015.
