Murdering a guy in a parking lot, wearing an artificial bald spot, getting coffee from a model — it’s all in a day’s work for Johnny Depp. More photos emerged this week from the Boston set of Black Mass, the crime drama about notorious Southie gangster Whitey Bulger directed by Crazy Heart's Scott Cooper. The sight of Depp as the bald and beefy mob boss is a strange one, but stranger still is the events captured by paparazzi as he acted out a violent scene and canoodled with his fiancée, Amber Heard. Here, we wildly speculate on what’s happening in the latest photos, from the fatal shot to the moment Depp walks off into the sunset with his moll.
Here’s Depp carrying out an assassination as Whitey Bulger. The two guns say, “You’re dead.” The leather jacket/parka says, “I’m a gangster, but I also want to stay warm in the fall New England weather.”
He told the corpse actor to stay in character no matter what. While the guy lies there twitching, Depp will proceed to eat all the donuts at craft services to stay in Bulger shape.
On second thought, forget craft services. Depp’s contract demands that a beautiful blonde be just off-screen during all murder scenes to provide him with coffee.
Conveniently, that beautiful blonde is Depp’s fiancee Amber Heard! “I really like the way you made that guy pay for his sins against the mob, honey,” she seems to be saying.
