John Goodman, World's Hardest Bargainer in 'The Gambler' Exclusive Clip

As has been established in the NSFW first look at The Gambler, John Goodman plays a shady gangster named Frank who loans money to Jim Bennett (Mark Wahlberg). Bennett is a lit professor whose incessant gambling gets him into a world of debt.

Now, in this exclusive clip, we learn exactly how dire Jim’s situation is:

1. Bennett owes the equivalent of what it takes to fund a micro-budget sci-fi movie, one that might debut at the Sundance Film Festival.
2. If he doesn’t pay Frank back, Bennett’s family will be “squeezed.”
3. Frank is no gentleman.
