John Boyega Dressed as ‘Star Wars’ Character to Visit Children at London Hospital

In costume as Finn, Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor John Boyega paid a visit to the children at the Royal London Hospital on Friday.
With the help of two young patients dressed as Rey and a stormtrooper, Boyega distributed Star Wars toys to the kids on behalf of the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity. The miniature stormtrooper, a 5-year-old boy diagnosed with a brain tumor, was granted his wish of meeting Boyega’s character and helping him deliver toys to other children at the hospital.
“When I heard about Daniel’s wish to meet Finn, I jumped at the chance to make it come true,” Boyega told the Belfast Telegraph. “It was fantastic to be a part of his very special wish with Rays of Sunshine [and] it was also great to meet the children at the Royal London Hospital and be a part of something so positive.”
Boyega documented special moments from the hospital visit, including a Finn vs. Stormtrooper lightsaber battle, on his Instagram.
“I hope I played a little part in making you smile young stormtrooper,” one of his posts read.
