Jimmy Kimmel Creates Campaign Ad For Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Donald Trump

While Megyn Kelly talked Donald Trump on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Trump also came up on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Realizing how busy Trump is these days trying to win New Hampshire after being chastened in Iowa, Kimmel’s team created what’s believed to be the first Nobel Peace Prize campaign ad, for Trump who, yes, is among the hundreds of names on the Nobel Peace Prize noms list. The list also includes Pope Francis, an escaped ISIS sex slave-turned-women’s rights activist, and National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden.

Kristian Berg Harpviken, well-known Nobel watcher and director of Peace Research Institute of Oslo, told CNN the letter of nomination praised Trump for “his vigorous peace through strength ideology, used as a threat weapon of deterrence against radical Islam, ISIS, nuclear Iran and Communist China.” While campaigning for the White House, Trump has promised to “bomb the sh*t out of ISIS” and impose a protective tariff on trade with China.

CNN has noted that others who have been nommed in the past but did not receive the prize include Mahatma Gandhi, Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Putin. So Kimmel’s got his work cut out for him.
