Jennifer Lawrence Doesn't Think She'd Cut it as a Real-Life Katniss

Don’t look for Jennifer Lawrence to head to boot camp anytime soon.

When we caught up with the star of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 at Comic-Con on Thursday night, she told us about one of the more grueling scenes from the forthcoming film. It’s a sequence that finds Lawrence, playing rebel leader Katniss, heading through an underground sewer — and it doesn’t sound like it was too much fun to shoot.

“We’re wearing tons of gear, and then it gets waterlogged, so it [weighed] like 20 pounds,” said Lawrence (you can watch the interview in the clip above). “I would love to see me last, like, one day as a soldier. [I’d be like], ‘My feet hurt! Everything’s so heavy! I’m thirsty!’”

Meanwhile, Lawrence’s co-star, Liam Hemsworth, described his own on-set injuries from the franchise, noting that he once took a nasty spill while shooting a scene in which he runs with Lawrence. “I twisted my ankle on a rock,” he told us. “I went down pretty hard, and to be taken away in an ambulance.” Ouch! We’ll see if any of these bumps and bruises show up on-screen when The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 opens November 20.
