Jennifer Lawrence Channeled Chris Farley Last Night on Letterman
The fumbling freight train that is super-chill, normal girl global superstar Jennifer Lawrence collided head on with the ultra-lackadaisical, retirement-ready David Letterman on Wednesday night, and the result was everything you (but not publicists or producers) would want it to be.
On The Late Show to promote her latest Hunger Games movie, Lawrence matched quirky wit with the master Letterman, with an interview that included discussion of their bowel cleansing and things you can’t say on TV (broadcast, at least). But for movie fans, perhaps the most interesting moment came when Lawrence imitated Chris Farley’s famed “Fat Guy in a Little Coat” moment from Tommy Boy (a surprisingly disjointed movie that holds up upon rewatch solely on Farley’s broad shoulders).

Lawrence is clearly a fan of '90s comedy, with her professed love of Dumb & Dumber leading to the rumor that she had filmed a cameo in the upcoming sequel (which she did not actually do).
