'Jaws' Shoes: Sneak Peek at This Summer's Scariest Footwear
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the shoe store…
Sperry, the boat-shoe purveyors whose footwear was worn by the cast of Jaws, is celebrating Steven Spielberg’s 1975 shark story in a big, bloody way: with a new line inspired by the classic movie.

The shoes, available in a variety of styles for men and women based on designs used in the film, feature imagery from Jaws, notably the iconic poster and logo. Each pair will be packed in a movie-themed box with “blood-stained” tissue paper and signage from the film, such as the “Beach Closed” warning and “Quint’s Shark Charter.”
Here’s a preview of select shoes:
Men’s A/O 2-Eye Shark Attack, $85 (also available in women’s version)
Men’s Striper Slip-On Logo, $70
Men’s Striper LL CVO, $70
Women’s Seacoast Logo, $70 (laces will be white when shoe goes on sale)
Women’s Seacoast Water, $70
Women’s Seacoast Shark, $70
The company plans to roll out the line on May 5 at Sperry.com (June 9 at select retailers) and continue through the summer with a marketing campaign that includes screenings of the film. Our favorite bit might be the “shark fin shoe riser” for specialized store displays.
