Janet Nova Promoted to Deputy Group General Counsel for 21st Century Fox

Janet Nova will serve as executive vice president and deputy group general council for 21st Century Fox.

The movie and television conglomerate is being created at the end of June as part of News Corp.'s planned separation into two independent, publicly traded companies. The other, dubbed News Corp., will consist of its publishing and education assets.

Nova had served as News Corp.'s senior vice president and deputy general counsel. In her new role, Nova will help oversee the company's mergers and acquisitions activity, capital markets transactions, and SEC and stock exchange reporting.

She will report to Gerson Zweifach, the senior executive vice president, group general counsel, and chief compliance officer for 21st Century Fox.

Nova has been a part of News Corp.'s general counsel's office since 1997. She joined News Corp. from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she was an associate in the firm's corporate and securities practice.
