'Inferno' Trailer: When Tom Hanks Sees Red
The trailer for Inferno, the third Ron Howard film based on Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon thrillers, has arrived and it’s awash in more crimson imagery than the Game of Thrones Red Wedding.
Hanks, reprising his role as Langdon, awakens with amnesia and teams up with a doctor (Felicity Jones) to stop the unleashing of a global pandemic. Of course, in keeping with Dan Brown tradition, the only way they can do that is by relying on their knowledge of symbols, ability to crack codes and understanding of Dante’s Divine Comedy as well as Botticelli’s Map of Hell.
There’s a lot going on, and a lot of quick flashes of what appear to be gushing rivers of blood shooting out of buildings. But since Inferno arrives in theaters in October, the month of Halloween, that’s pretty much perfect timing for movies containing rivers of blood.
