Image Takes U.S. On ‘Shiver’

Continuing its acquisitions spree at Cannes, Image Entertainment has acquired all U.S. rights to Julian Harris’ horror-thriller “Shiver,” starring Danielle Harris, (pictured) John Jarratt and Casper Van Dien.

Film is produced by Cyclone Prods. and  Robert Weinbach, who adapted the Brian Harper novel. Rae Dawn Chong, Valerie Harper and Brad Harris also star.

“Shiver” follows a meek young secretary who finds the courage to fight back and escape a savage killer. The film was shot in Portland.

Image has acquired four other titles at Cannes — “Winnie Mandela,” “Last Love,” “Tokarev” and “I Am Zozo.”

Deal for “Shiver” was negotiated by Image Entertainment’s Mark Ward, Jess De Leo and Circus Road’s Glen Reynolds on behalf of the filmmakers.
