IM Global Television is expanding its programming team with the addition of veteran TV executive Stacey Levin to the newly created position of SVP Development. She will be responsible for developing, packaging and selling scripted projects, reporting to IM Global TV President Mark Stern.
Levin moves to IM Global TV from Nicholas Sparks Productions, where she served as EVP Television. She previously worked at Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Entertainment as SVP Television; at Universal Cable Productions as Director of Development; and at 20th Century Fox Television as Director of Current Programming, where she oversaw creative on TV series such as Modern Family and Arrested Development.
“I’ve known Stacey since we worked together at Universal Cable Productions and have always been impressed with her smart creative instincts, integrity, tenacity and great reputation with both talent and buyers,” said Stern, who previously served as President of Original Content at Syfy and co-head of original content at UCP. “She’s going to be an amazing addition to the team as we continue to build momentum with our projects and grow our slate.”
Additionally, Mark McColey has been promoted to Creative Executive from Executive Assistant to Mark Stern.
A division of Tang Media Partners-owned IM Global, IM Global Television’s slate includes an adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle at FX, TNT pilot Time of Death with M. Night Shyamalan, music series Muscle Shoals executive produced by Johnny Depp, true-life crime drama Patrolman P with director/executive producer Antoine Fuqua and an adaptation of Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Darkover books at Amazon.
IM Global Television is a television production joint venture between IM Global, TMP and Asian internet giant Tencent that includes a dedicated television production investment fund.
