If You Want to Smell Like 'Star Wars,' There's Good News

What do the characters of Star Wars smell like? It’s a question that’s puzzled the greatest minds of our generation. Well, a German company has released a line of fragrances that were designed in a cynical attempt to take more money away from Star Wars fans. Just kidding. They’re designed to make you smell like the characters. I guess.

First up, there’s a scent for men, Empire. It includes notes of lime and bergamot, chords of apples and jasmine, and a base of amber, sandalwood, patchouli, and tonka bean.

Then there’s another scent for men, Jedi. It has tangy notes of mandarin, spicy aromas of pink and black pepper, nuances of sandalwood, and essences of amber, patchouli again, and musk. Musk!

Don’t worry ladies, there’s one designed for you based on your favorite female Star Wars character: Amidala. Yay? It has notes of mandarin and green apple, a bouquet of orange blossom, patchouli, geez, sandalwood, and sensual vanilla and musk!

Now this isn’t the first time fragrances have been based on Star Wars. Back in 2010 you could get a Slave Leia perfume, which is weird. And there was a Lando cologne. It probably smelled like leather and Colt 45 breath.

In terms of other movies, you can buy an Avengers-themed set, a Bee Movie cologne, a James Bond one of course, and Sex Panther, the scent made famous by Brian Fantana in Anchorman.

Anyway, if you want the Star Wars scents, good news, they’re cheap. Bad news, it seems like they’re only being sold in Germany. Time to take that trip to Saarbrücken you always think about.
