'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2' Trailer: Katniss Declares War

The grand finale of smash hit Hunger Games saga looks appropriately epic.

Lionsgate unleashed the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2, and, as always, the focus is on Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss. Unlike the previous installments of the Hunger saga, however, Katniss is no longer a reluctant hero: As you can see in the clip above, she’s finally decided to step up and forcefully lead the rebel Districts in a final assault on The Capitol and President Snow.

She’s not just being selfless, either; Katniss is really miffed. And in hindsight, it was probably dumb for Snow to nearly kill Katniss’ boyfriend, Peeta, and rain missiles on a bunker that nearly killed her sister, Prim.

The trailer isn’t all action and anger, though. It starts out with the wedding of Finnick (Sam Claflin) and the remarkably normal-named Annie (Stef Dawson); later on, we get a rare smile from Haymitch (Woody Harrelson). And most importantly, we see Katniss and Peeta embrace, meaning that he’s no longer under President Snow’s mind-control spell (and that Katniss has forgiven him for nearly choking her to death).

But in the end, all roads lead to The Capitol — and all weapons point that way, too. Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 hits theaters on November 20.
