Halle Berry just gave fans one more photo to like on Instagram. The fiercely private actress, who once advocated for an anti-paparazzi law in California to protect her daughter Nahla, posted her first photo to the social media network Tuesday. (We’ll wait while you go follow her.)

By Wednesday, Berry had racked up 188,000 followers. She included a quote from Henry David Thoreau in her profile: “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see -Thoreau."

The photo and its caption were just as lovely.

"Hi everyone. Welcome! Today is a very exciting day for me,” she wrote. “I’m looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions. I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in. I’m excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy. [Love] Halle."

By sharing her interests and not just her latest magazine covers or movie posters, Berry has already proven worthy of a follow. She just might become one of a small group of A-listers who actually give fans an inside look at their lives with the photos they post there. Take a look back at some of their debut Instagram pics.

Reese Witherspoon

Actress and Draper James founder Reese Witherspoon started her Instagram journey in May 2013 with a pic of her mom, Betty. "HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to my amazing mother! And all the wonderful mothers out there!” she captioned it. Since then, Witherspoon has made her feed the place for fun selfies, picture quotes, and snapshots of her loved ones — famous or not.

Tom Hanks

Double Oscar winner Tom Hanks is just as likable online as he is in the movies, sharing pics of what he’s reading and, oddly, items he finds in the street. He joined Instagram in March 2015 with a photo of him at his old stomping ground. “Was in Bay Area over the weekend,” he wrote alongside it. “Back to school day!!! Hanx.”

Gwyneth Paltrow

Sure, Paltrow shares images of her Goop lifestyle, which is self-promotional, but it’s also fun to look at in the same way as watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. There are plenty of pics of her celebrity friends and her kids, which we had an idea were on the way after her first share was a vintage pic with her actress mom Blythe Danner, taken by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair. She captioned the October 2013 post, “#tbt I [love] bdp."

Jerry Seinfeld

While the comedian started his account in June 2014 to promote his web series Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee, it’s turned into a place where he shares the hints he loves: cars, yes, but shoes, too. His first post was straight-up promotional, a still from the episode with Sarah Jessica Parker: "Remember when the whole family had to help move the seat up? Relive that nonsense on this week's Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.”

Sarah Jessica Parker

Speaking of SJP, the New Yorker has given an up-close look at her beloved city since she joined in November 2013. The Sex and the City star’s feed is full of Manhattan skylines, street scenes, and love for Broadway shows. The first thing she posted was of a building. “Images I’ve been collecting on my way to and from work. X sj,” she explained. Being SJP, there’s also plenty of fashion pics.

Elton John

After the “Rocket Man” kicked things off with a promise of snapshots from his December 2014 wedding, we knew we were in for a strong Instagram game. “Please join us this Sunday @DavidFurnish and I will be posting special moments from our big day. #ShareTheLove #EltonJohn #DavidFurnish,” the 69-year-old singer teased. He’s been sharing pictures of his family celebrating holidays, his adventures in the studio, and his work with the Elton John AIDS Foundation ever since.

Goldie Hawn

Goldie Hawn’s first Insta post three weeks ago proves once again that she doesn’t age. Ever. Hawn, 70, gave followers a glimpse of her working out on a mini trampoline — but not for the reason we might think. “Have to clear my brain after watching all of this election frenzy,” the comedic actress joked. While her account is new, it’s already home to a few goofy snaps of her hanging around the house and a couple of throwbacks with daughter Kate Hudson and longtime partner Kurt Russell.

This could get interesting.
