Here’s Your First Look at 007 in 'SPECTRE'
James Bond is returning for his 24th film adventure this November and he looks… pretty cold, actually. Sony has released the first official photo from SPECTRE, and it shows 007 (Daniel Craig in his fourth stint as Bond) brandishing a firearm in wintery terrain that looks like it could be adjacent to Inception’s snow fortress. Sony also released a behind-the-scenes video filmed in Sölden, Austria that should rightly fire you up for Sam Mendes’ follow-up to 2012’s excellent Skyfall. You can watch that below.
Like most Bond flicks, SPECTRE was filmed at various locales around the globe, including Morocco, Mexico, Italy and England. This shot, however, was taken in the mountains of Austria, where Craig and co-stars Léa Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Color) and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) posed for previously released photos from the set.
The brief glimpses we see from the movie look highly reminiscent of the 1969 Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, which had a key section set at the villain Blofeld’s mountain-top stronghold in the Swiss Alps. There’s also a car chase that might remind viewers of the mountain motorcycle chase in 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me
SPECTRE, which also brings franchise newbies Christoph Waltz and Monica Bellucci into the fold, opens Nov. 6.
