Here's Your 'Fast & Furious — Supercharged' Ride-Along at Universal Studios

Since the first Fast & Furious film in 2001, the hard-driving franchise has inspired eight movies (including the 2009 short Los Bandoleros and the upcoming 2016 feature), more than four video games, and a gazillion parking tickets. Now, it’s even inspired its own amusement-park ride. Yahoo Movies was there for the tour, and as you can tell from our video (which you can watch above), Fast & Furious — Supercharged lives up to its name.

The new ride, which opened this week during a star-studded ceremony, features Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), and Roman (Tyrese Gibson) in a brand new storyline. It also pulls riders into an immersive, three-dimensional Los Angeles enhanced by 3D glasses and the sensation of enormous speed. According to one of the ride’s makers, the aptly named Supercharged is essentially the world’s largest flight simulator.

It’s hard not to react as riders get jostled and receive blasts of water while on a high-speed chase with Letty and the crew. Watch the video above to get a sense of what the ride is like and check out Fast & Furious — Supercharged at Universal Studios for the full effect.
