Threequel "The Hangover Part III" is set to face off against "Fast & Furious 6" this summer at the box office. But which movie grabs the higher spot on this week's Powergrid rankings on TheWrap? And where does the buzzy film adaption of "Divergent" rank on the PowerGrid now that Ashley Judd joined the cast alongside Shailene Woodley and Theo James? Plus, what does "Monsters" return to the big screen mean for its power ranking?
HOW DOES THE POWERGRID SCORING WORK: TheWrap's PowerGrid uses an algorithm that combines box office performance, awards, critical opinion and production activity to rank the Hollywood industry's players, projects and companies.
THIS WEEK'S MATCHUP: Both "The Hangover III" and "Fast & Furious 6" were in the spotlight this past week during CinemaCon in Vegas, the annual exhibition show where studios preview their summer movies to theater owners. But each movie's climb this week is attributed to the film's stars. Since the formula is based on 60 percent commercial success, "Hangover III" and "Fast & Furious 6" shifts are mostly due to the continued box office climb of Bradley Cooper for his role in "Place Beyond the Pines," and Dwayne Johnson in "G.I. Joe," respectively.
